Kinabalu National Park is one of the most popular destinations to head to when on a visit to Kota Kinabalu. Nestled in the Crocker Range, this park is the gateway to Mount Kinabalu, and is Malaysia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. At 4,095.2 meters, Mount Kinabalu is Malaysia’s tallest mountain and one of the highest in Southeast Asia.
The hot springs at Poring Hot Springs were first discovered first by Japanese soldiers during World War II. Today the springs have been transformed into Japanese baths containing natural sulfur, strongly believed to be a curative for skin diseases.
